Bleaching Options

As we age, our teeth can become noticeably darker.  Teeth Whitening otherwise known as “Bleaching” is one of the newest trends in dentistry.  Today we can offer our patient’s the most effective bleaching procedures available anywhere.  Whether you choose the option of the “In Office” treatment or prefer a “Take Home” system, Dr. Skelton and Associates can help you achieve the lightest teeth possible.
Options include:

• IN OFFICE TREATMENT:  This consists of one 2 hour appointment where the gum tissue is covered, and then the bleach is applied.  An ARC light is used to activate the bleach for one hour.  Quickest results are seen with this technique.
• TAKE HOME:  This consists of two short appointments and works well for patients who are committed to taking the time to bleach at home for 10 days to 2 weeks.  Each application the tray is worn or 30 minutes to one hour.

NOTE:  White restorations, crowns, and veneers will not lighten with bleach.  Only natural enamel will lighten.  If you choose, old restorations can be restored to your new lighter shade.
